ORB DF-01iA+ Vinyl Record Flattening Machine
Overview
The ORB DF-01iA is a premium Japanese device designed to restore warped vinyl records to their original flat shape. It uses semiconductor heating films on both the upper and lower sides to apply even, gentle heat and pressure, allowing the PVC material to relax and return to its natural flat form.

- Not suitable for flexi discs, shellac 78 rpm records, or heavy flat-edge vinyl unless using the DF-01iA+ version.
How it works
The ORB DF-01iA gradually heats the record to a precisely controlled temperature and then cools it down slowly. The entire process takes about 6 hours, ensuring that the record’s grooves remain intact and audio fidelity is preserved.
Difference between DF-01iA and DF-01iA+
- DF-01iA – designed only for records with a groove-guard edge, i.e. most modern LPs.
- DF-01iA+ – also supports flat-edge records, such as heavyweight 180 g vinyl pressings and older records without groove guards.
