Used Clearaudio Concept Turntable in excellent technical condition. The unit has been fully tested in our studio and is fully functional.
There are normal cosmetic signs of use visible on the platter and plexiglass cover, otherwise the turntable is in very nice condition. At the listed price, the turntable is offered without a cartridge, allowing the customer to choose a cartridge according to their own listening preferences and system setup.
After listening tests, we recommend pairing this turntable with the Audio-Technica AT-VM750xSH cartridge. With this cartridge, the Clearaudio Concept delivers excellent sound quality and a very strong price-to-performance ratio. Compared to the standard Clearaudio Concept MM V2 cartridge commonly supplied by the manufacturer, the reproduction is noticeably more detailed, airy and spacious. The main benefits come from the high-quality Shibata stylus profile and the use of a boron cantilever, which is lighter and more precise than a standard aluminium cantilever.
As a more affordable alternative, the Audio-Technica AT-VM745xML can also be used. This cartridge offers a more reference-oriented sound character.
A major advantage of the Audio-Technica AT-VMx cartridge range is the possibility of universal stylus replacement within the series. This allows different stylus types to be tried on the same cartridge body, making it easy to fine-tune the sound according to personal preference.
